- Description
- The collection consists of approximately 70 handwritten letters from Paul Léon to his wife Lucie, written at the Drancy internment camp outside of Paris, France, between August 1941 and March 1942, before his deportation to Auschwitz killing center via Compiègne. Also included is restitution paperwork and a handwritten diary in Russian belonging to Lucie Léon when she and her family fled Russia during the Russian Revolution in 1917.
