    Overview

    Description
The collection primarily consists of correspondence received by brothers Leo and Max Jablon in Palestine from their family and friends in Essen, Germany, Zbąszyń, Poland and elsewhere from 1938-1940. The bulk of the letters and postcards are from their mother Chava Jablon, brothers Joseph and Martin Jablon, and Martin’s wife Gertha Jablon and sent from Essen and Zbąszyń. Other letters include a likely undelivered International Red Cross letter from 1940 and a post-war letter regarding Leo’s immigration from Palestine to the United States. Additionally, there is an inscribed diary belonging to Leo. The rest of the diary is blank.
