- George Schwarz, born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 30, 1930, discusses fleeing Germany with his family in 1935 to escape persecution by the Nazis; how he and his family narrowly escaped capture and what is was like to live under that duress; landing first in Rimini, Italy; moving to Nice, France after Mussolini came to power; moving again to Switzerland after France became unsafe; and finally settling in the United States in 1947.
