The collection is comprised of a Tajik robe and cap acquired by Szaja Rosenberg while living in Tajikistan during the Holocaust. After 1939, Szaja and his family relocated from Poland to Tajikistan where they worked on a cotton Kolkohoz. Included are also digital photographs from the family's time in Tajikistan, and later from the DP era. While living as a displaced person Szaja married Eva Husz, a survivor of Auschwitz from Romania.
