Consists of photographs, copyprints, identity paperwork, publications, and typed proceedings related to the work of Gilbert and Eleanor Kraus to bring 50 children (later referred to as "the 50 Children") from Vienna to the United States in 1939. Includes photographs and copies of the trip and arrival of the children, original identity paperwork (including visas and passports) for the children, and publications and typed proceedings related to the 1939 and 1940 Brith Sholom annual conference. Also includes a wartime story handwritten by Ellen Kraus (daughter of Gilbert and Eleanor) about her parents' efforts as part of an elementary school project.
