    Biography
Eva Edmands was born on October 27, 1929, of Jewish parents in Vienna, Austria. When she was eight years old, she and her parents fled to France to escape Nazi persecution. They were constantly on the run and in fear of their lives. In 1942 they were rescued by a French priest who hid them in the boiler room of his rectory. There they spent the remaining war years. In 1948 Eva and her parents immigrated to the United States.
