    Biography
    Aba Ward (born Adam Warszawczyk)was born in Kutno, Poland and studied dentistry in Warsaw. After the outbreak of the war he went to Palestine and joined the Irgun underground. In 1940 Warszawczyk joined the British army and fought in Libya and Greece. He was captured by the Germans and imprisoned in POW camps in Germany, Austria and Poland. This day pass was issued on March 29, 1945 and permitted the bearer to leave the POW camp from 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM to work in the infirmary. Warszawczyk is the first cousin of Warsaw ghetto fighter Mietek Kanal.
