Jewish survivors in Czestochowa march along Spadkowa-Kozia Street in protest against the way Jewish victims of German actions in the small ghetto were buried in mass graves filled with lime.

Hela and Jack Shipper are pictured in the foreground in the center. As a result of the protest, the bodies were exhumed and buried in the Jewish cemetery in Czestochowa. Among the victims were the donor's brother, Leib Shipper, his sister, Yentel (Shipper) Owieczko, and her daughter, Hela.
