Two sides of a devotional card bearing the image of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa given to Lodzia Hamersztajn by Irena Adamowicz, a Polish woman closely associated with the Jewish underground.

The inscription on the card is dated May 1, 1938, but in fact was written in 1943. The devotional card, which was carried by Lodzia during her years in hiding, was intended to give credence to the claim that she was a Polish Catholic.
