Event History: On July 24, 1947, 250 Jewish DPs left the shelter of the American Joint Distribution Committee located on the rue Dumont d'Urville in Paris, in a convoy of ten buses. They were transported to the port of Marseilles, where they boarded ships bound for South America and Australia.
