Helene Gotthold with her children Gerd and Gisela. Gotthold was a Jehovah's Witness arrested for her anti-Nazi views. She was convicted, condemned to death, and beheaded in the Ploetzensee prison on 8 December 1944. Her children Gerd and Gisela survived the war.
