Group portrait of the first UNRRA medical team to arrive at Ohrdruf.

The team was headed by Maureen Honeyball from England, second from right. Also pictured is Dr. Cecile van Ackere from Brussels, second from left. The team worked for ten days in late April, 1945, attempting to decontaminate the camp and supply survivors with sufficient nourishment and medical treatment.

Sidney Krasnoff served as a medical officer with the Thirteenth Field Hospital in European Theatre Operations. After reaching Buchenwald, Krasnoff was assigned to the UNRRA medical team at Ohrdruf.
