Under the supervision of American soldiers, German civilians exhume the bodies of 71 political prisoners from a mass grave on Wenzelnberg near Solingen-Ohligs.
The victims, most of whom were taken from Luettringhausen prison, were shot and buried by the Gestapo following orders to eliminate all Reich enemies just before the end of the war.
