    A Nazi party member from Hals and a German prison guard kneel beside the body of a Russian slave laborer who was killed by SS troops near Tiefenbach, near Passau. 

They were forced to view the atrocity by U.S. Third Army troops.  The victim was one of 100 Russians interned in a barn in Oberjacking, a small village near Tiefenbach.
