A sampling of the more than 300 identification card photos of local Jewish residents that were found on the floor of the Gestapo headquarters in Biala Rawska in January 1945.
They were discovered by Leon Sztubert, a Jewish survivor from the town, who spent the war in hiding in a nearby forest.
Pictured (from the top row left and moving across each row) are Israel Yankel Bentszel; Moshe Yidl Goldberg; Chaim Pinchas Furszt; "son of Filosoff"; Josek Szwarcsztejn (b. June 14, 1914); Mojshe Tabacznik (b. 1917); Menachem Janowski; Tautsztajn (d. 1941); and Israel Yosl Rosenbaum.
