An anti-Nazi cartoon that criticizes opportunistic German supporters of Adolf Hitler.

Brownshirted men stand with their hands up before a menacing, gun-toting Hitler. Next to him stands Hermann Goering depicted as an armed viking, while a cowering Joseph Goebbels peers out from between the legs of Hitler. Helmeted soldiers march in from the right, and the booted feet of slain men lie in the foreground. The German caption reads: "They greet now with both hands!" At the feet of the frightened men lay scattered papers marked, "Hitler's overblown promises." The cartoon is signed in the lower left-hand corner by "Low.".
