Adolf Hitler greets Munich Nuncio Archbishop Alberto Vassallo di Torregrossa, Munich, 1933. The occasion was probably the ground stone laying ceremony at the Haus der Kunst (Art Exhibition Hall) in Munich, October 15, 1933. The Vatican subsequently protested the Nazi Party's use of the photograph for election propaganda.
