A young man, sitting among the bodies of murdered civilians in a park-like setting, has his head turned toward the German soldier standing over him.
One photograph from an album belonging to a member of a Wehrmacht machine gunners' unit, which was found after the war by Lorenzo Hawkins (the donor's grandfather), an American serviceman in Company B, 56th Armored Engineer Battalion.
