Caption: Jewish refugee children march with signs in front of the Chabannes children's home on sports day.

Later that day, French police raided the home and removed several of the older children, who were then deported to Auschwitz.

Among those pictured are Gerard Rosenzweig, Alex Kramskoi, Angel Haas, Louise Bontnik, Elsi Wolf, Anatole Zilberstein and Stephan Lewy.
