Zipporah Katz (Sonenson), one of the shtetl Hebrew librarians, reads a book while lying in a field.

Zipporah was murdered by the Polish Home Army on October 20, 1944. The inscription on the back of the photo reads, "Leahle remember your friend Feigele (Zipporah)".
