    Winners of a bicycle race sponsored by local Zionist groups pose with their bicycles, next to a road sign in the village of Skidel.

Among those pictured is Shabbtai (Shepske) Sonenson (third from the left), who represented the Betar organization in Eisiskes.  Shepske was killed by the Germans during the September 1941 mass shooting action in Eisiskes.
