- Benyamin Sonenson poses for a bar mitzvah portrait with his cousins only days before the massacre of Eisiskes' Jewish population.
Benyamin Sonenson's bar mitzvah in September 1941 was the last one to be celebrated in Eisiskes. Standing near the house of Alte Katz are (right to left) Benyamin, Yitzhak Sonenson, Altke Tawlitski, and Hayyim Tawlitski. Standing in the front are Meir Sonenson (right) and Oscar (Asher) Shereshefski.
Yitzhak survived in hiding, Oscar survived in Siberia; all the others were murdered by the Germans during the September 1941 mass shooting action in Eisiskes - Photographer
