Group portrait of the Assistance Committee responsible for distributing donations of money to Eisiskes from America.
The photo was taken in honor of Aaron-Don Becker (front row, third from left), who in 1920 brought a large donation to the shtetl from the Eishyshker Society in New York. Seated to the right of Aaron-Don is his relative Sarah Kaganowicz, to his left is Hayya Sonenson, head of the Froyen Farain (Union of Women); Libe-Gittel Rudzin; her daughter, Miriam Kaganowicz; and husband Shael, relatives of Aaron-Dan. Also pictured in the photo are members of the Pachianko family, members of the Kahal, and clergy. Standing in the back, between Aaron-Don and Hayya Sonenson, is Reb Hertz Mendl Hutner, the shtetl judge.
