Staff of the soup kitchen in Eisiskes.

The soup kitchen was established during World War I to prevent large-scale starvation and served both Jews and non-Jews. It also was the town's first coed voluntary society.

Among those pictured are Meir Kiuchefski, Maneh Michalowski, the Lewinson sisters, Zivia Hutner, and members of the Sonenson, Abelowicz and Schneider families.
