Peasants, some with musical instruments, celebrate the redistribution of land in the region.

Luba Ginunski, one of the shtetl's leading Communists, distributed land to five hundred poor Polish peasants in the autumn of 1940. Luba, is pictured dressed in black, speaking to a woman with a white kerchief. She survived the war in the Soviet interior and afterwards immigrated to Israel.
