    Biography
    Oskar Bartolsic was born in Breclav, Moravia on July 23, 1920. He studied in the Technical University in Prague and was arrested along with other students at the funeral of Josef Opletal on November 15, 1939. He was sent first to the Pankrac prison, the Prague Karlovo Namesti prison and then to Theresienstadt in June 1940. He remained there until December 1942 when he was among the last Czech students released through the help of Czech president Dr. Emil Hacha.
