    Biography
Gastone Guidotti, secretary at the Italian legation in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, 1936-1940, who issued Italian passports to Jewish refugees. Guidotti undertook this action after the Italian foreign ministry had turned down numerous applications by Jewish refugees. His acts of disobedience were never discovered by the Italian authorities.
