    Biography
    Frieda Lederer (born Frieda Rosenschein) is the daughter of Samuel Rosenschein and Regina Weinberger Rosenschein. She was born on January 6, 1925 in Mukachevo, Czechoslovakia where her father was a merchant. She had four brothers: Benjamin, Moshe, Martin and Simon. Following Passover, 1944, the family was incarcerated briefly in a ghetto and then deported to Auschwitz. Frieda's parents and her brother Moshe perished. Frieda was liberated in Bergen-Belsen by the British army on April 15, 1945. She then went to Goteborg Sweden to recuperate, and in 1946 she returned to Germany where she lived for three yers in Fuerth and Munich. In April 1949 she immigrated to the United States on board to S.S. Hahn.
