Among those pictured is Madeleine Hecht Feher, center holding a bouquet of flowers, surrounded by her co-workers from the American Joint Distribtuion Committee.  They came to wish her farewell before embarking.  Also pictured is her brother, Thomas Hecht, the young boy in front.   Pictured on the far left is Lolita Goldstein, a JDC worker.
