    Biography
    Mira an Doren (born Mira Jedwabnik) is the daughter of Dr. David and Lydia Jedwabnik. She was born in Vilna where her father was a noted physician. David Jedwabnik was born in 1889 in Trakai and graduated from Berlin University specializing in diseases of the heart and lung. He became the director of the TOZ sanitorium in Vilna, and participated actively in the Jewish cultural life in Vilna. He, Lydia and Mira immigrated to New York in 1939.
