The original German caption reads, "The Americans who fell into German captivity after the successful fights in South Tunisia, look at Germans with a mix of attention and curiosity. A lot of Americans were only since a few days on the African land when the German agression surprised them."
This photograph was found by the donor, a former Captain in the U.S. Army, on the floor of the Propaganda Ministry in Berlin in August 1945. - Date
