Picture of two Albanian-German families who assisted the Gerechter family.

Pictured on the left are the Permeti family; pictured on the right are the Wallach family. They allowed the Gerechters to live at their home while they were away. Mrs. Permeti was an Austrian nurse and her husband was an Albanian pediatrician. Their daughter Erika pictured seated on the left was a close friend of Johanna Gerechter. She went on to marry the son of Toptani, Atif & Ganimet who were later honored by Yad Vashem for saving 17 people.

Pictured on the right are the Wallach family.
