    Biography
    Szlomo (Sam) Helberg is the son of Ruchla and Morys Helberg. Szlomo was born in Bedzin, Poland on May 1, 1925. He spent the war at the concentration camps, Gleiwitz in Germany (present-day Poland) and later Sachsenhausen, outside of Berlin. He was liberated in Frankfurt at the age of 20 and finally immigrated to the United States in November, 1949.
