    Biography
    Abraham Friedman (originally Wolenchik) was the father of the donor. He was born in Zelva in 1907. He immigrated to the United States as an orphan together with his brother Zalman (Sam). He was adopted by the Friedman family and assumed their name. Most of his relatives remained in Europe and perished in the Holocaust.
