    Biography
    Leo Kaelbermann (later Kalberman) was born October 17, 1902 in Grosseichholzheim, Germany to Emanuel Kaelbermann and Rosa nee Strauss. He and his wife wife Melanie (Mella) lived in Mannheim where Leo worked as a a butcher. Their two daughters Margot and Ellen were both born in Mannheim. The Kaelbermann family immigrated to the United States in 1934.
