Unauthorized Salvadoran citizenship certificate issued to Alexandre Klein (b. May 26, 1879 in Paris), his wife Marguerite (Meyer) Klein (b. March 3, 1891 in Mulhouse), and their son Jacque Klein, (b. July 27, 1929 in Strassbourg), by George Mandel-Mantello, First Secretary of the Salvadoran Consulate in Switzerland and sent to them in their residence in Roanne.

Jacque Klein has no memory of having received this certificate. He escaped to Switzerland in the summer of 1944 and attended the Yeshiva of Montreux until the end of the war. Jacque's sister-in-law Edit Klein wrote in her memoir that she wanted to give certificates (exactly which are unspecified) to Alexander Klein but he refused saying he was a proud Frenchman and didn't want to accept something of questionable legality.
