Unauthorized Salvadoran citizenship certificate issued to Alfred van der Horst (b. August 27, 1909 in The Hague), his wife Edith (nee Kurzweil) van der Horst (b. November 29, 1910 in Ichenhausen) and son Isi (b. September 1936 in The Hague) by George Mandel-Mantello, First Secretary of the Salvadoran Consulate in Switzerland and sent to his residence in Amsterdam.

Unauthorized Salvadoran citizenship certificate issued to Alfred van der Horst (b. August 27, 1909 in The Hague), his wife Edith (nee Kurzweil) van der Horst (b. November 29, 1910 in Ichenhausen) and son Isi (b. September 1936 in The Hague) by George Mandel-Mantello, First Secretary of the Salvadoran Consulate in Switzerland and sent to his residence in Amsterdam.

The van der Horst family was deported to Bergen Belsen where they were registered as Salvadoran nationals. Alfred died there from disease in February 1945 and Edith died in April shortly before liberation. Only Isi (Isaac) survived the Holocaust.
