Unauthorized Salvadoran citizenship certificate issued to Irene (nee Balla) Kertesz (b. May 18, 1879 in Nagykoros) by George Mandel-Mantello, First Secretary of the Salvadoran Consulate in Switzerland and sent to her residence in Budapest.

Unauthorized Salvadoran citizenship certificate issued to Irene (nee Balla) Kertesz (b. May 18, 1879 in Nagykoros) by George Mandel-Mantello, First Secretary of the Salvadoran Consulate in Switzerland and sent to her residence in Budapest.

Mrs. Iren Kertesz, the mother of Anna (and Stefan Kertesz, survived the war with her daughter in a protected apartment. She died in Switzerland and was buried in the North of London in the same cemetery as her children, Georg and Anna. The certificate was sent to her by her son Georg or Gyorgy (nicknamed Gyuri) who been living in Zurich from about 1931 and was a member of the Tonhalle Orchestra.
