- Funeral procession for President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The original caption read, "The horse-drawn caisson bearing the body of the late U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, proceeds slowly up Constitution Avenue, past the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the U.S. Capitol, on April 14, 1945. Detachments representing the four branches of the U.S. armed forces lead the procession. At the White House, a simple service for the late President was held two days after the sudden death in Warm Springs. On April 15, the body of the great leader was interred in the garden of the ancestral Hyde Park estate in the eastern U.S. State of New York." - Date
