    Biography
Daniele Nacamu (the father of the donor) was born in 1929 to Oscar Nacamu (b. 1895) and Dalila Pancaldi (b. 1904). Daniele has one younger brother Leonardo (b. 1930). The family whose name originally was Nahamu lived in Ancona on Italy's coast, and Daniele and Leonardo grew up in Bologna. Oscar Nacamu, the son of Leonardo Nacamu and Clotilde Coen Nacamu had three siblings: Salvatore (b. 1898), Dora (b. 1894-1938) and Guido (b. 1901). The family was assimilated and middle class, and experienced relatively little antisemitism until the advent of the racial laws of 1938. The entire Nacamu family survived the war.
