Displaced persons line up for lunch in the International Refugee Organization Center at Camp Grohn in Bremen, Germany.prior to boarding a transport.

Camp Grohn was a military base of the U.S. Army after the end of World War II. It became the largest displaced persons camp, housing as many as 5000 displaced persons prior to their emigrating to the United States or elsewhere.

The handwritten caption on the back of the photograph reads: "DP Transport lining up for lunch in IRO Center, Bremen Grohn, Germany."
