A man and a woman wait for DP Transport in the International Refugee Organization Center in Camp Grohn in Bremen, Germany.

Camp Grohn was a military base of the U.S. Army after the end of World War II. It became the largest displaced persons camp, housing as many as 5000 displaced persons prior to their emigrating the the United States or elsewhere.

A handwritten caption on the back of the photograph reads: "DP Transport. The last days of waiting. IRO Center Bremen-Grohn, Germany. Posters show activities of YMCA in camp."
