Vilim Weiss perished during the Holocaust in a Croatian labor camp. His wife, Regina (Gruenwald) Weiss, was hidden by neighbors and survived. In 1946 she moved to Bucharest to live with the Kupfermann family and emigrated to Israel with them in August 1949.
