Standing in the middle of the group is the director, Henri Couvot.  Michael Oppenheimer is pictured in the last row, second from the left, his face partially hidden.  

The children were brought to the home from French transit camps with the assistance of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and the Oeuvre de secours aux enfants (OSE).
