View of the bakery owned by the Greek Christian Leonidas Pappas, which was situated on the outskirts of Camp Campbell. The baker was killed at the entrance to the shop during the pogrom of June 29, 1931.

Event History: During the night of June 29, 1931 and continuing into the early hours of the next morning, the entire Jewish settlement of Camp Campbell was destroyed by fire and 500 families made homeless, when Greek Christian refugees from Asia Minor unleashed a pogrom. Scores of Jews were injured in the attack and one Jew and one Christian were killed.
