- American soldiers and German civilians from Solingen-Ohligs attend funeral services for the 71 political prisoners, exhumed from a mass grave near the town, in front of the city hall.
The victims, most of whom were taken from Luettringhausen prison, were shot and buried by the Gestapo following orders to eliminate all Reich enemies just before the end of the war. - Date
