    Interview Summary
    Danica Garunović, born in 1928 in Gorna Rogatica in the former Yugoslavia, describes a roundup of Serbian civilians by Hungarian soldiers; the theft of the homes of Serbian civilians; her deportation to the Jugovicevo concentration camp; the conditions in the camp; the sight of soldiers burning corpses; her transfer to the Sarvar concentration camp; the death of her sister in 1942; and liberation by Soviet forces.

    This is a witness interview of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Perpetrators, Collaborators, and Witnesses: The Jeff and Toby Herr Testimony Initiative, a multi-year project to record the testimonies of non-Jewish witnesses to the Holocaust.
