    Interview Summary
    Dušan Ramić, born in 1934 in Sirig in the former Yugoslavia, describes the retreat of the Yugoslavian Army in 1941; a mass shooting of Serbian civilians by Hungarian soldiers in 1941; fleeing to Temerin and then Turija; the death of his mother; his deportation to a concentration camp in Becaj; being sent to a hospital in Novi Sad; staying with a friend of his father's in Turija after his recovery for the remainder of the war; and returning with his father after the war.

    This is a witness interview of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Perpetrators, Collaborators, and Witnesses: The Jeff and Toby Herr Testimony Initiative, a multi-year project to record the testimonies of non-Jewish witnesses to the Holocaust.
