NSDAP [National Socialist German Workers' Party] pin owned by a deaf Jewish refugee to Shanghai

NSDAP pin that belonged to Hans (Heinz) Praschkauer. Hans, a deaf German Jew, and his parents escaped Breslau, Germany, for Shanghai in 1939 on the Italian ship, Conte Verde. He worked as a tailor in Shanghai until 1949, when he and his parents joined his brother in the United States.
