Oral history interview with Roza Abramovna Gerasimova

Roza Abramovna Gerasimova, born in 1924 in Lakhva, Brest Oblast, Poland (now Belarus), recalls her life in Lakhva prior to 1939 and under Soviet occupation; the German invasion in 1941 and the murder of her father; her family's unsuccessful attempted escape from the German forces and their incarceration and life in the Lakhva and Lenino ghettos; the shooting of inmates in the Lenino ghetto; her escape from the Lenino ghetto during a partisan attack and joining the Korzh partisans; her life in a partisan unit within the Korzh formation and staying mainly in the Ivanovskiy rayon in Brest oblast; and her marriage to a partisan in the unit.
